Our Story

Our story dates back to the late 1990s, when a pressing need in the market was identified and action was taken.


MaxiForce General Manager, John Bray explains:

“I’ve always been a tinkerer, an engineer at heart. I look at things and automatically think to myself, ‘that can be better.’ Perhaps your mind works similarly? The world of bollards is all about keeping people and places safe. Done right, bollards perform an important act of service.“

Have you noticed how life tends to provide purpose for the inquisitive minded? Well, there’s never been a shortage of that here at MaxiForce, so it should come as no surprise that all it took was one incident to forever change the course of our business...

At some point, at a major university, first responders were helpless to get through to a student in an emergency.

“The bollards took too long to remove. We heard about that and instantly thought, ‘that can be better!’ Inspired by a need in the market, we set to work with a brilliant locksmith and launched a patented collapsible bollard unlike anything else available at the time.”

From there, MaxiForce expanded its portfolio to include a product line of light, removable bollards that allowed protection, while making it easier for maintenance and emergency personnel to remove and refit them hassle-free.

To assure optimum quality and performance measures are continually met, all our products are designed, manufactured, and tested in the U.S., using the latest technology and the highest quality components.

On the heels of our hallmark innovations, we continue to improve existing products while endeavouring to create new, exciting features.
