Options

Zinc Rich Primer

A zinc rich powder coated primer can be applied to any unit prior to the finish coat. This adds a high level of protection from rust and is more cost effective than galvanizing.

Galvanizing

For the ultimate in corrosion protection, any of our products can be hot dipped galvanized after fabrication. A final powder coated surface is then applied.

Reflective Tape

For extra visibility reflective tape can be added to any bollard. The tape is offered in many colors, shapes and sizes and can be shipped with the product or factory applied.

Additional Bollard Length

This unit can have extra height added to the body if site or project specifications require it.

Eye Hooks

A single link can be welded onto the bollard to accept locking a chain or cable in between bollards or from bollards to other structures. Multiple links may be added to each unit.

Lifting Handles

Our bollard lifting handles can be attached to almost any bollard model. The handles can be used to support bike parking or to assist in the easy and safe manual lifting of removable bollards. Handles are available in different sizes and locations, based on your needs.

About the unit

The bollard body has a locking pin protruding from the side of it that passes through a hole in the hinged stainless steel cover plate of the base. Once the cover plate engages the locking pin, the shackle of a padlock is inserted through the hole in the locking pin which effectively locks the bollard body to the base. This provides security against unwanted removal. To remove the bollard from the base, you simply remove the padlock, pull back on the cover plate to disengage the locking pin and lift the bollard body out of the base unit. The cover plate can then be folded down to cover the hole. This unit includes a Round Style 3 Head and a Heavy Duty Hinge Top Base.

A Round Style 3 MaxiForce head is a dome style cap that sits atop the round bollard units. This is a welded head style that can’t be removed and is not interchangeable with other MaxiForce bolt-on style heads.

The Heavy Duty Hinge Top Base is designed for the HD removable bollard units only and will not work with other models. The HDH Base has a round stainless steel top plate and cover. When the bollard unit is removed, the cover plate is “hinged” shut and secured in place with a screw (included). There is no need to store the cover plates off site with this base unit. The unique hinge top plate is also designed to be removed without the use of tools if it is ever damaged and needs replaced.
